The Froogie Boogie: Cheap Invitations
Invitations for 19 cents or less
I love Evite and use it frequently, however it is still nice to have a tangible invitation to give out for parties. You can make and print your own, but it is hard to get high quality prints from an inkjet printer, and the ink can be so expensive. However, if you have photo editing software you can create your own invitation on a 4x6 print and have them printed for approximately 19 cents depending on where you go for your photo processing. If you don’t have a way to create your own, you can go to walgreens and have text added when you upload your photos to the machine there.
Here are a few tips to help:
1. You can use a photo that you have of the “guest of honor” or any photo you choose. Just make sure there is enough blank space to insert the party details.
2. Make sure the text you use is easy to read and contrasting with the background
3. Since you are working with such a small space keep the information to a minimum. Who the party is for and what the occasion is, when and where, and rsvp contact number, should be sufficient.
4. Print at anywhere that does photo processing, just make sure if you are using a professional photo you have a copy right release form.
5. Get envelopes size 4 1/8 x 6 1/8 inches.
The invitations are so easy an inexpensive they make a great keep sake for you and everyone invited!

This is one that I designed just as an example

that is a great idea. What program do you have?
I use Adobe Photoshop CS3, but before I was a professional I used a very simple program called Picture It, by Kodak.
I love this idea! Thanks.
Wow, those are beautiful invites! Thanks for the tutorial!!
