To keep with the theme of how motherhood has changed me I would like to share this miraculous impartation I have received now that I am a mom, it's called a mother’s intuition.
From the moment you find out you are pregnant you will be bombarded with all kinds of information, opinions, and your own personal concerns. Then once you finally make it through pregnancy you realize it has just begun and everyday you are faced with new challenges that don’t always present a clear cut absolute answer. I am a firm believer of going with your gut. Often times this strategy has lead me the total opposite way of main stream parenting techniques, but that's nothing new.
As a mother you know deep down what is best for your child. That is not to say that you shouldn’t seek out answers in books, or through the advice of experts, friends and family. In fact you should be doing all of these things. In the end though, pray about it, come to an agreement with your spouse, and do what you feel is the right way to go about raising up a child. I haven’t even been blogging for 4 months yet, but I think my opinion on this matter is clear throughout this website.
Here are just a few excerpts…
From The Restless Night Syndrome: Closing Thoughts
“It is your baby and going with your gut and doing the best you can to love and nurture that child is a good thing! Do your research ask what worked for other people and then go with what works for you”
From Natural Child birth: Closing Thoughts
I cannot say enough how it is a personal decision and you have to weigh the information out for yourself. I hate to see woman and mothers accusing one another and bickering over differences when we have so much in common, we all just want our babies delivered safe and healthy.
From Call of Coupons: Shell Shock
“If your kids are worn out from always going, going, going from one store to the next and you are finding less time for friends and family then you know something is wrong. You don't feel like your life is in balance”
This is yet another opinion among the millions of others, but it is mine and it just feels right.
