It was the usual Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce meal that any American citizen would expect around this time of year, but at the end of the meal something special happened that I will never forget. My oldest brother Jeremy brought out his laptop computer to show us a slide show. It began with some photos of us as kids, then with our our spouses, a picture of Z, followed by a photo of me and my pregnant belly, followed by a sonogram pic. I realized right away that was not MY ultrasound, which pretty much only meant one thing... the other Jeremy & Natalie are also expecting!
Since Z is the first grandchild in the family I have always been the one to make the pregnancy announcements, so this was my first time on the receiving end and it was so exciting. I can't wait for next Christmas in Kentucky when Z will have a sister and a cousin to enjoy it with, and as far as next Thanksgiving we will just have that much more to be Thankful for.
